Description:
An excellent financial services company in the north west is looking for a Systems Development Analyst to work in their Credit Risk Control UnitAbout the Role:
- Provide Credit Risk solutions that fully meet the business expectations and requirements by:
- Translating requirements into detailed systems specifications
- Challenge and shape requirements by providing advice based on knowledge of bank and credit strategy business practices and relevant legal and regulatory requirements
- Accurately implementing the specified Credit Risk solutions by following established change procedures and by designing and executing test plans and scripts.
- Maintaining effective and responsive relationship with CRCU teams, IS Change Management and Xansa.
- Ensure adequate control of Credit Risk systems (and that best practice is used for developments) by maintaining a procedural and design documentation library and adhering to agreed strategy and architecture principles, and internally defined standards.
- Ensure ongoing accuracy of systems decisions by recommending and implementing system fixes and improvements to resolve issues highlighted by individual account anomalies.
The successful candidate will have:
- Numerate / IT related degree or a significant amount of relevant analytical or IS experience.
- Experience of Credit Risk or Business Analysis.
- Experience of using the following tools to assist in the development of business solutions.
- Microsoft Office products. Amore detailed knowledge of Excel including spreadsheet design, using formulas and macros, setting up links between spreadsheets and producing graphs in a variety of formats.
- SAS programming
- Testing tools e.g. Mercury Test Director.
- Experience of the full project lifecycle
- Understanding of financial products, including knowledge of the business processes associated with opening and administering financial products.
- Knowledge of the differences between various types of lending vehicle in either a Corporate or Retail environment
