THE COMPANY:

Our client is one of the largest Asset Managers, with over 10 international offices. They provide a range of products which include private equities, hedge funds and structured product amongst others to institutional and corporate investors. This position will be an interface between the US Investment Risk team and Operational Risk

THE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Support the Europe Head of Risk in providing leadership and direction within the Risk Team in partnering with the business to identify, quantify, evaluate, prioritise, monitor and report on risk within the business.

Promote a positive risk culture throughout the business by proactively advising management on risk issues and by providing risk awareness training and communications on a regular basis.

Support Global Risk Management and Group Risk initiatives, including sharing best practices, on an as needed basis.

Provide leadership on quantative risk measurement particularly in relation to our capital models, risk appetite and the pricing Committee

Provide leadership and guidance on process and procedures within the projects, ensuring that the risk is mitigated and appropriate controls are designed and implemented.

Support the European Risk and Compliance Committee

Provide representation Europe on the design and technical aspects of our risk methodology and system

Work with the Head of Europe Risk to identify key stakeholders across the business, understand their requirements and execute against a plan to meet them

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Relevant risk experience ideally gained within an asset manager or investment banking

Experience of both Market and Operational risk is essential

Ideally educated to degree level or posses a professional qualification
