Job Title: Senior Pricing AnalystsLocation: London – WC
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 + Bonus, London Weighting (£3,500) & Benefits
Overview
The loans business will account for 40% of the UK Unsecured Personal Loans market. The business unit comprises 3 core brands and 4 Joint Ventures, with £21bn assets with annual Income of £1.1bn.
Job Purpose
To generate hypotheses and design and execute analysis to diagnose the impact of recent pricing changes on all variables (profitability, sales, risk) and (with support from Pricing Manager) develop grounded options for each pricing decision including running financial scenario analysis. The role also involves managing through decisions into implementation and requires a solid understanding of the economics of loans and a commercial and intellectually curious mindset.
Key Accountabilities
• Thought Leadership - generate hypotheses and design and execute analysis to diagnose the impact of recent pricing changes on all variables (profitability, sales, risk).
• With support from Pricing Manager, develop grounded options for each pricing decision including running financial scenario analysis. This role requires a solid understanding of the economics of loans and a commercial and intellectually curious mindset.
• Communicate analysis, options and recommendations clearly and concisely in short PowerPoint presentations and be able to clearly explain analysis verbally to others.
• Engage with IT and other stakeholders to ensure that pricing decisions are implemented accurately and on time.
• Be a team player - proactively share insights and learning and seek out opportunities to support other team members.
• Keep on top of industry trends to help diagnose factors other than pricing that could be driving performance.
Candidate Profile
• Numerate degree (2:1+)
• Excel, SAS / SQL,
• Analytical mindset
• Commercial acumen
• Strong Communication skills
