Description:
An established investment bank is seeking a Senior Manager to work in the Regulatory Risk Oversight department. The overall purpose of this role is to be responsible for providing assurance to senior and executive management that the Group's regulatory risk profile is evaluated and managed appropriately, through undertaking risk-based, global assurance and oversight activities and ensuring the effective identification, assessment, management and monitoring of regulatory risks in accordance with the bank's Risk Management standards.The key responsibilities include:
- Deliver risk based oversight and assurance activities including targeted reviews and the ongoing evaluation of and challenge to the effectiveness of risk and issues management practices discharged by the Group's regulatory risk functions.
- Develop ways of identifying new areas requiring regulatory risk evaluation/response, and propose responses/methodologies.
- Ensure that regulatory risk functions undertake appropriate remedial action to resolve regulatory failures and/or breaches.
The successful candidate needs to have in depth experience of regulatory risk management solution delivery to business functions which includes operating in an oversight capacity. They should also have a proven track record of regulatory implementation or oversight delivery.
Broad knowledge of Risk Management and Control appropriate to a global financial services institution is essential.
