Description:
Our client an international leader in Insurance is looking for a Senior Management Accountant to review, analyse and report upon all management expenses within the European Operations.Strategy & Planning
• Work with all business units and cost centre managers to determine realistic expense budgets and plans
• Challenge business unit expense budgets and plans with the cost centre managers to ensure expense budgets are in line with business plan assumptions and expense constraints
• Prepare a consolidated expense plan across all of the business ensuring that consistent policies are adopted for all business units and cost centres, such that this can be included with the financial plans
• Include all expenditure in the budgets and plans, with a clear reconciliation to reported underwriting expenses (in accordance with accounting policies), to enable clear understanding between total managed expenses within and that share of expenses reported within financial plans and reports
Experience:
• Fully qualified accountant preferable
• At least 3 years of experience of working in a finance team (with a preference for experience of expense analysis)
• Proven successful track record of financial analysis, budgetary control and supporting decisions re company expenditure
• Proven experience of dealing with people at all levels of the organisation, in particular, to be credible to senior management
