An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Risk Framework & Reporting department within Group Risk Functions to enhance the Group's existing risk frameworks and develop a 'world class', comprehensive framework. The role cuts across all of the risk disciplines and involves significant engagement with a wide range of stakeholders including executives and Risk subject matter experts.

Requirements
We are looking for an individual who is motivated, thrives in a strong team environment and is able to lead the delivery and implementation of the Risk Framework changes. The successful candidate will also will work on a range of critical long-term and ad-hoc projects, including:
• Board and Divisional Risk Appetite;
• Living Wills;
• FSA Code on Remuneration; and
• Strategic planning.

The role holder will be required to develop good relationships with business and technical contacts in order to facilitate communication and resolution of issues, the ability to communicate to a wide range of stakeholders across risk disciplines and produce communications to a standard suitable for circulation to senior executives and the Board.

Responsibilities
The core responsibility of the role is to:
- Coordinate and implement new and improved frameworks;
- Enhance and implement appropriate governance structures;
- Determine and implement suitable reporting;
- Embed new frameworks into BAU environment; and
- Prepare presentations for senior forums including the Board.

The Individual
Due to the nature of the role it requires that the job holder has experience in a number of the following areas;
• Analytical skills gained within a financial, regulatory and/or credit risk environment, with some Basel II experience preferred.
• Minimum three years of professional experience in banking, accountancy, and/or consulting.
• Demonstrate ability to research and interpret internal and external best practice, as well as to make enhancements to existing practices.
• Proven track record for delivery of projects
• Experience in interpreting financial accounts data, in particular of banks
• Knowledge of financial markets products
• Experience of producing communications to senior executives.
