The Child Maintenance and Enforcement Commission (the Commission) is responsible for all aspects of child maintenance in Great Britain. Its role is to promote financial responsibility, encourage and support private maintenance arrangements as well as provide a statutory maintenance service. It will be innovative in its approach, harnessing the expertise of the public, private and third sectors. For you, it's an exciting opportunity to develop your career as part of a team that will build the new scheme of child maintenance for children who live apart from one or both of their parents.The Risk, Security and Business Continuity Manager will report to the Head of Governance, Risk Management and Assurance in the Commission Executive's Finance and Assurance Directorate.
This is a tremendous role that will need you to deliver both the development of policy and processes for the Commission in Risk Management, Security and Business Continuity; and ensure that the related teams in the wider Commission organisation are working together.
Purpose:
The Risk, Security and Business Continuity Assurance Manager will:
- Manage the design and development of the Risk, Security and Business Continuity framework for the Commission;
- Drive work to ensure adherence to Commission strategies around Risk, Security and Business Continuity
- Ensure that the Commission has a coherent, efficient and effective Risk, Security and Business Continuity process.
You will be required to take responsibility for leading, managing and developing parts of a small team where appropriate.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Risk Management:
- Dealing, on behalf of the Commission with external stakeholders
- Acting as a focal point for Risk throughout the organisation
- Maintaining the Commission's Strategic Risk Register;
- Taking responsibility for Commission Executive Risk Management
- Driving up the quality of Risk Management throughout the organisation.
- Ensuring that the Commission's Security regime meets the Government standards required by the Cabinet Office;
- Dealing, on behalf of the Commission, with external stakeholders on Security matters;
- Acting as a focal point for Security throughout the organisation
- Taking responsibility for Commission Executive Security
- Ensuring that the organisation's overall Business Continuity Plan is comprehensive, up to date and effective;
- Providing assurance to the Commission's Business Continuity Director that the main underpinning plans are sound;
- Dealing, on behalf of the Commission, with external stakeholders on Business Continuity matters;
- Supporting the Commission's Business Continuity Director in rehearsals of the Commission Business Continuity Plan
Knowledge and Experience
You will need to be a flexible and experienced professional, able to demonstrate management level experience in each of the following:
- Working in a high-profile service organisation of comparable size and complexity, managing the delivery of Risk Management, Security and Business Continuity;
