Description:
A role has become available for a Project Support Assistant within the Credit Projects team in the Consumer Banking Central Risk team. This team leads, manages & delivers Risk change activities and projects with cross product impact, specific business criticality (eg integration) and/or impacting Retail Decision Science. Projects span the full project lifecycle.The role is to support Project Managers in the delivery of projects and manage small business change and /or workstreams.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following
Working with and supporting Project Managers on large projects with the potential to deliver small projects and work streams
Ensuring deadlines are achieved and projects are implemented successfully within parameters set by Project Managers
Contributing to the development, production and maintenance of project plans
Supporting project reporting processes to ensure appropriate progress tracking against the project plan (timescales and budgets)
Documenting and monitoring project management products to quality standards
Understanding and escalating risks and issues that impact on project deliverables and agree mitigating actions with Project Managers
Running small project meetings
Undertaking research and analysis to support projects
Working collaboratively with colleagues and drawing upon others' experience to deliver projects
Effective communicating with colleagues and stakeholders
The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate understanding of project management principles in addition to an understanding of the Retail business needs. Previous project support / management experience (6 – 12 months) is essential and candidates need to be driven, enthusiastic and looking for a genuine opportunity to progress and develop in to a Project Manager.
