This role sits within the credit risk function, and will work across all retail banking products.The Role
The work will be largely analytical, adopting proactive approaches to delivering profit & loss value through more effective strategies and tactics. You will also conduct analysis to define key metrics to be monitored and to set appropriate targets. You manage impairment, delivering a series of value-added initiatives to reduce credit losses. You will work closely with the credit risk team to forecast credit losses for a range of strategic, market and economic scenarios.
What we are looking for
You must have a degree or equivalent in a numerical subject; strong analytical skills, with the ability to digest & interpret complex concepts underpinning risk portfolio management. You must have established technical skills, such as SAS, SQL including experience of data extraction and manipulation, and experience of credit risk management within consumer finance. A knowledge of the UK market and competitive environment would be ideal, as well as experience of standard risk models and measures.
