Description:
THE COMPANY:Our client is a leading subsidiary of a well established investment manager. They currently have in excess of £35 billion funds under management and provide investment services to individuals, institutions and charities amongst others.
THE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conduct a risk assessment to drive the business monitoring programme and operational risk assessment program.
Diagnostic analyses of significant Oprisk Events including preparation of process maps for business processes
Preparation of and development of key risk indicators
Follow up of actions arising from monitoring and risk assessments
Oversight of derivatives risk management process including updates to regulatory documentation
Work with in-house systems
Input to the business ICAAP and Basel II processes
Annual fraud risk assessment and IT risk assessment
Assist the Senior Risk Manager with the preparation of management information reporting.
Act as a backup to the Senior Risk Manager
Risk and compliance based projects as relevant
Adhoc risk assessments (e.g. significant process change, new product or functional review) and regular risk controls monitoring
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Must have relevant operational risk ideally gained within a asset manager
Compliance knowledge would be beneficial
