Description:

Critical to the management of our Financial services client is the role of the Risk Capital Manager.

Key responsibilities include:

· Advising the Group Executive Board on issues fundamental to the management of the capital position of the Group and its ongoing strategy
· Working with senior executives and Group Credit Risk to ensure they consider the impact on capital of their strategic decisions
· Ensuring the Risk Capital Unit delivers effective capital oriented risk management processes in support of the Group
· Representing the Group to the FSA on capital management
· Ensuring the principles of Basel are embedded across the Group to maintain effective risk management practices

This role is strategically significant to the business. You will be required to articulate and embed essential capital and risk management processes across different business areas and functions. As such, you are likely to have a formal qualification in risk management, finance, banking or business management. You will also be expected to have tangible experience in overall risk management, credit risk, Basel and FSA liaison.

Essential to the delivery of this role are the following experience and capability requirements:

· Supporting and influencing senior directors including the Group Executive Board
· Management, guidance and motivation of a team of risk specialists
· Being confident, flexible and inspirational on a daily basis
