Their IR and FX Exotics business has also been growing throughout 2006 and 2007 as model and support frameworks are developed.
What you will be doing
The Risk Reporting Group contains Credit Risk Reporting and Market Risk Reporting Teams. The role is located in Credit Risk Reporting Team. The team is responsible for managing the daily credit risk reporting processes to ensure that management are fully informed of various Limit utilizations and Issuer/Counterparty/Country/Liquidity risk exposures. You will assume the responsibility for daily management of the team. You will take responsibility for the daily production of various types of Risk/Exposure Reports such as Limit reports, Credit Exposure reports Counterparty & Issuer, Country Exposure report, Economic Capital report, and other risk reports. You will ensure that position data is complete and comprehensive within Risk systems and develop and produce reports to communicate risks being taken to management. In conjunction with Credit Risk Management, you will investigate and identify the underlying cause of any breaches and take the required actions as specified in the Market and Credit Risk Policies. There will also be ad-hoc analyses as required by Management or Head Office to investigate and analyse specific issues or events. Using your technical and management skills he/she will enhance the current production processes to improve the efficiency, accuracy and scope of reports within Credit Risk Reporting area.
You will actively promote and develop the use of Credit VaR and Economic Capital measures throughout the business and strengthen integration with Global systems. Having gained a thorough understanding of the business, identify and co-ordinate / implement further improvements to the current Credit Risk Reporting systems. You will take responsibility for the on-going development of Credit Risk Reporting systems throughout the project life-cycle
What they are looking for
You have a strong academic background in a numerate discipline and demonstrated expertise. You must have Risk Management experience gained in an Investment Bank is a requirement. You must have in-depth knowledge of Issuer / Counterparty / Country / Liquidity risks. You should have experience in managing a team in a Credit Risk environment. You need good working knowledge of macro level Access and Excel spreadsheets for Position/Exposure/Risk related data management is required. VBA is an advantage. You must be must be hands on, able to operate in a high pressure environment and a confident, good communication skills to be able to challenge. You must be a self-starter and pro-active.
