Description:
A leading global airline are looking for a self-motivated and ambitious part-qualified accountant or auditor, with strong interpersonal skills. The role itself offers the opportunity to do approximately 25% international travel within a company which has a strong track record of progression into the business.Key responsibilities
Ensure audits are delivered to the agreed timescale, quality and standard as measured by the Area Audit Manager
Progressive involvement in all the stages of the audit lifecycle
Where weaknesses have been identified ensure they are adequately substantiated, factually accurate and communicated to the Line teams in a timely manner.
Work with the local line teams to ensure that control weaknesses are accurately identified corrective actions developed and agreed
Assist the Audit Manager and/or Area Audit Manager in assessing the risk exposure and financial impact of the weakness identified.
After the audit, at an agreed date, follow up with the Line area to ensure that committed corrective actions have been completed and are effective.
Assist the Line in embedding internal controls and successfully implementing the Self Audit Programme
Ability to deputise for Audit Manager as required.
