Head of RiskThis role is a full time appointment on a fixed term contract basis – initially one year term. Candidates should be willing to consider relocation or otherwise significant travel to the Netherlands.

The successful candidate will:-
• Provide risk management oversight over Assets based in the Netherlands subject to a reduction strategy.
• Manage the relationship with the Dutch Central Bank (DNB) principally for the assets which are booked in the Dutch legal entity.
• Minimise regulatory risk across its activities.
• Deputise for the CRO of the division in relation to Dutch booked assets only.
• Ensure divisional risk operating model supports the Dutch entity requirements, including oversight of applicable policy, processes and reporting.
• First point of contact for all appropriate regulatory enquires and managing delivery across a range of internal stakeholders
• Provide tactical and strategic advice, relating to internal and external stakeholders, regarding the satisfaction of data requests, correspondence, meetings and other engagements. • Advise the Executive Management team relating to Dutch regulatory issues surrounding the associated assets.
• Proactively identify issues, coordinating action plans to address and advising the regulators of these; managing an engagement schedule for interaction of the DNB with Divisional senior management
• Ensure Audit trails are maintained and shared internally and externally, as required (and authorised) and ensuring that contact with the DNB for these assets is co-coordinated. The

Essential
• Demonstrated ability to communicate with and influence senior internal and external stakeholders up to executive level.
• Experience in determining regulatory risk strategy, tactics and engagement within a complex financial services group.
• Prudential and capital requirements experience, plus conduct of business
Desirable
• Management of a team of multi-skilled professionals on an indirect basis
• Experience of managing external parties e.g. lawyers, consultants
• Experience of working across different regulatory jurisdictions /international regulatory environments.
• Dutch language skills
• Understanding of risk management practices appropriate to a global financial services company
• Expert knowledge of relevant domestic and global regulatory structures;
• Project management experience
