Job Title: Graduate Credit Risk AnalystLocation: Leeds
Salary: £20,000 - £23,000 + Bonus, Benefits & SAS Training
The jobholder will be part of a dynamic team responsible for portfolio management strategies across current account brands with multi million pound deliverables.
The role will have responsibility for analysing portfolio controls and strategies to measure risk and reward in support of business growth aspirations, whilst protecting against downside risk and improving the customer experience.
The role will report into, Account Management Risk manager, who has specific responsibility for proactive portfolio management across brands from 3 months on book to collections entry point, covering the bulk of the product lifecycle for c 23m current accounts.
• Responsible for developing evaluating and implementing proactive credit risk strategies for existing customers
• Definition and roll out of lending limit management strategies consistent with business objectives
• Creation of coherent cross brand debit card up/down grade strategies
• Definition of risk appetite and establishing robust controls to manage within it
• Responsible for provision of key customer intelligence to drive segmented strategies
• Management of robust proactive affordability and hardship policies to meet business needs
• Minimisation of transaction leakage
• Develop and implement on book post acquisition fraud strategies with Fraud Strategy partners
• Product development support
This role is an excellent opportunity for someone to develop technical programming capability and their risk management skills.
Candidate Profile
• Graduate (2:1+) in a numerate degree (Maths, Statistics, OR) with Maths at A Level grade B
• Use of statistical programming techniques, including SAS and SQL.
• The ability to describe complex numerical problems in an understandable fashion, and to accurately represent real world problems analytically.
