THE COMPANY:

Our client is one of the worlds leading Multi Managers. With operations in over 30 countries they provided expert investment advice to private individuals, corporations, charities and governments.

THE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist the Head of Compliance – EMEA to manage the compliance arrangements

Ensuring the timeliness, quality and applicability of advice, guidance, reporting and support given, as appropriate, to business areas, boards, senior management, clients and regulators in respect of business, organisational and regulatory developments

Foster and develop the compliance culture throughout the EMEA

Ensuring adequate follow up, including assistance in delivery where appropriate, of agreed controls development action points arising from compliance monitoring reviews, internal or external audits, regulatory inspections or changes, risk management activities, error or breach resolutions

Act as lead adviser to the Investment Management and Research and the Alternative Investments areas of the business.

Provide mentoring to staff within the EMEA Compliance team and assist with their training and development in accordance with business needs.

Ad hoc investigating and project work as directed by the Head of Compliance -EMEA

Deputise for the Head of Compliance – EMEA in his/her absence

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Strong compliance experience gained in an Asset manager environment

Knowledge and understanding of the regulatory environment in the UK

Ideally degree educated, professional qualifications would be advantageous

IMC or equivalent required
