Description:
My client is a specialist financial services provider with a growing portfolio of branded products targeting people in the UK who are ‘underserved’.
They have an exciting opportunity for a Customer Insight Analyst to support the delivery of quality data to the various functional areas of the business and also undertake comprehensive analysis of customer data to inform customer management or risk management initiatives. This is a position that offers high visibility, rapid growth and diversified responsibilities, high energy levels and a willingness to enthuse colleagues and business partners in the company strategy is essential.
Required knowledge:
The ideal candidate will be familiar with uploading raw data into the SAS as well as performing ETL and data cleansing in Base SAS or Enterprise Guide. The candidate will also be required to be knowledgeable in basic statistical procedures within SAS to summarise data and produce basic descriptive statistics. The candidate must have hands on experience in writing SAS programs, preferably including SQL and macros, whilst having the opportunity to project manage the work to ensure that it meets the time, cost and quality whilst maintaining excellent documentation throughout the process.
Required skills:
A good knowledge of Base SAS (preferably including SQL and macros) and SAS/STAT or Enterprise Guide and writing queries to interrogate data is essential. An ability to develop generic re-useable code/modules to apply to different data sources or similar campaigns run at different times of the year, with minimal changes required to load and report on new data as it arrives. An ability to fully document all applications developed. Knowledge of MS Excel to extract data into user friendly pivot tables so that users can interrogate data. In addition, good analytical and problem solving skills will need to be applied to the analysis of customer data in order to maximise opportunity and value of the portfolio. Good interpersonal and influencing skills will be required to present and articulate well thought-through business cases to senior management.
Required Qualifications:
At least graduate level with numerate skills and an ability to elicit business requirements and convert these into technical or analytical solutions to obtain the answers required. Exceptional candidates who do not meet these criteria may be considered for the role provided they have the necessary skills and experience.
