Job Title: Credit Risk Strategy Manager – Western EuropeLocation: London – Canary Wharf
Salary: £50,000 - £70,000 + Bonus, London Allowance, Car & Benefits
Overview
This position will be responsible for ensuring that appropriate risk management decisions are being made. These responsibilities span all Western European Retail business units (This includes all countries in which the Western Europe cluster (with £40 billion in receivables) operates in.
Key Accountabilities
• Ensure that an effective, accurate and fully automated MI data warehouse is in place to support the needs of Western Europe.
• Ensure that an effective and accurate risk strategy framework is in place across the Customer life cycle (including Targeting, Underwriting and Account Management) that can be shown to add demonstrable benefit to the Western Europe P&L.
• Develop a best in class approach to effectively manage this life cycle.
• Chair as appropriate, workshops committees to seek approval for concepts tabled.
• Develop strong working relationships with IT and Portfolio risk teams to ensure effective channelling of information. Liaise with Global Risk and Group Risk to ensure appropriate controls are in place. Work closely with Finance colleagues to ensure alignment of approach.
Candidate Profile
• Strong knowledge and experience in multiple areas of the credit cycle relative to the function of Risk Management
• Solid understanding of MI reporting requirements and principles.
• Solid understanding of Loss forecasting requirements and principles.
• Deep understanding of project management tools and techniques with experience across multi disciplinary and virtual teams.
• Graduate calibre/MBA or similarly qualified to be able to meet the intellectual and technical demands of the job.
• Strategy experience with demonstrable track record of delivering coherent and insightful thinking
• Adept at working across a large organisation whilst being able to implement at pace.
