With an iconic reputation for quality service and excellence, this giant in the consumer lending sector has the support of a global group as it enters an exciting new phase in its growth strategy.Credit Risk management is becoming increasingly important to the future of my client as it strives to tackle a tough industry credit climate and a maturing credit portfolio. The business' growth strategy hinges on its existing and new credit products and as such the business will rely more and more on its ability to manage risk.
The role of Risk Manager will involve:-
Leading the modelling team to ensure the optimisation of credit models across the business
Driving the business to deliver credit loss targets and optimise capital efficiency
Development, monitoring and use of Basel II models across the business
Ensure risk management strategies comply with relevant regulatory bodies and industry best practice.
Candidates will be highly analytical with knowledge and experience of statistical techniques used in the development and monitoring of application and behavioural scorecards. A working knowledge of Basel II and it's implications would be expected.
As well as sound credit risk industry knowledge and awareness of best practice, candidates will also have a commercial flair, an awareness of its implications on business growth and profitability and a desire to impact key stakeholders in the business.
You will be self motivated, possessing excellent communication skills and have the ability to drive business performance through technical and commercial acumen.
