Description:
Senior credit risk professional with strong analytical degree and relevant professional qualification (ideally CFA or ACA) sought by this leading investment management house.Key purpose of this high profile and influential role will be to develop and maintain Credit and Counterparty Risk policies and framework, working closely with senior management to develop and embed a risk culture throughout the organisation. This will involve working closely with Front Office, Legal and Compliance to develop recommendations with regard to credit and counterparty risk mitigation.
Responsibilities are extremely broad ranging and will include conducting risk and control reviews, preparing and coordinating Credit Risk Committee meetings, overseeing risk reporting and managing the process for evaluating and rectifying major incidents across the business.
The successful candidate will have significant risk management experience gained from the asset management industry, which will be complemented by a commercial mindset, suoperior analytical skills and strong judgement. The ability to drive through change an influence senior management is essential, together with the proven ability to deliver difficult messages effectively whilst ensuring maintenance of working relationships.
