The Role (UK Based need to be Fluent Italian and Spanish Speaking)My client is a leading market maker who focuses on delivering institutional type trading products and services to retail investors and market professionals. With offices on four continents, and online access to 23 international markets, the firm is able to meet the markets' ever increasing demand for a more global investment horizon.
The company is rapidly expanding and has circa 500 staff in their London office.
In line with existing growth plans the company is setting up a branch in Madrid and Milan and is seeking a Compliance Officer in the London office who is Fluent Italian and Spanish Speaking to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements for the Madrid and Milan offices.
As part of the global team, the job holder will be responsible for the continued development of procedures in line with the regulatory environment.
Key responsibilities will be:
Managing the daily running of the compliance department
Conducting departmental reviews and participation in the compliance monitoring programme
Answering queries staff may have in particular with relation to money laundering and account opening documentation, third party payments
To be involved in the complaint handling process by monitoring complaints
Delivering compliance induction and AML training
Managing the relationship with the regulator
Maintaining a detailed knowledge of all compliance rules, regulations and procedures
Maintaining personal/professional development to meet the changing demands of the role, participate in appropriate training and encourage/support staff in their development.
This is a highly responsible position and will suit someone who has a dynamic and pro-active approach to their work and a proven track record of delivery. You will be suitably qualified in compliance and must be Fluent Italian and Spanish Speaking based in the UK
Strong facilitation, oral and written communication skills are essential as is fluency in Spanish.
