Company Overview:Our client is a brand leader and well known Financial Services company. They are seeking to recruit an experienced Compliance professional to sit within the Compliance Risk team reporting to the Compliance Risk Manager.
Role & Principal Accountabilities:
• Undertake Compliance Monitoring responsibilities
• Give Compliance advise within the business on the FSA Handbook of Rules & Guidance, EU Directives, ABI Good Practice Guides and other relevant material.
• Conduct analyses of management information from internal and external sources, other risk or customer fairness indicators.
• Apply the principles of risk management and recognise the importance of wider factors in helping Compliance Risk.
• Review and advise the business on the impact of key regulatory developments.
• Support the management in the maintaining the compliance databases, risk score indicators, regulatory rules map, internal breach reporting and other record-keeping systems.
• Develop and maintain relationships with senior business and audit managers.
• Support the relationship with the FSA by helping to manage supervisory visits, co-ordinate responses to requests for information and input towards formal regulatory returns/notification processes.
• Contribute positively to the work, objectives and effectiveness of the Compliance Risk team including participating actively in group discussions and informing the development of team priorities; helping to ensure that the Compliance team is suitably visible to and integrated within wider Risk Department and Finance Division objectives.
Skills & Experience required:
Full FPC (or equivalent) knowledge of pensions and previous compliance monitoring experience required.
