Description:
THE COMPANY:Our client is a Private Banking Group with a long established history. They provide banking, fund management and advisory services to a range of clients including private, corporate and institutional.
THE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform the function of Deputy MLRO and ensure compliance with AML/ KYC regulations and internal policies and procedures
Provide proactive and expert advice, on regulatory / compliance / money laundering and financial crime issues
To keep informed and abreast of regulatory developments, and legal issues which may impact the bank and determine regulatory implications / impact re new businesses initiatives / projects
Submission of SARs to SOCA
Provide training to all staff to ensure they are fully informed of their regulatory responsibilities
Developing, performing, monitoring and recording the results of the bank’s compliance monitoring programme to ensure regulatory and legal compliance
Maintain the Compliance procedures manual up-to-date
Dealing with customer complaints, in accordance with the FSA's Dispute Resolution requirements and our internal procedures
To attend various committees, including project initiatives and provide compliance risk feedback
Liaise with, and provide assistance to the other members of the Risk Management department – compliance, credit risk, operational risk and security
Ensure that at all times the bank acts in the interests of customers and communicates with customers in a clear and fair manner
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Must have Relevant AML and Compliance experience gained within a banking environment.
Knowledge of the FSA handbook & regulations is essential
