Description:
An exceptional Commodity Risk Analyst is required by a leading independent European Financial services business. To work with team or individually to design theoretical risk management solution for new products or markets and work as part of project team to implement IT solution from a risk perspective.The key responsibilities include:
- To follow up any unusual trading activity or market developments, internally through detailed data investigation or possibly through member or exchange interaction
- Working within a shift system sharing end of day price approval procedures and assisting in implementation of new systems to improve these
- To suggest and/or successfully implement improvements to data analysis ahead of margin reviews
- To propose and test theoretical solution to risk manage new products or markets
- To review and comment on requirements documents
- To guide IT build through requirements around risk management solution.
- To identify and solve practical difficulties around IT and risk solution
- To prepare paper outlining risk solution for peer review ahead of project go live
- To work towards integrating processes and procedures into generic risk framework
The ideal candidate should have Financial markets preferably Energy &/or Commodities background and prior Commodity knowledge is essential.
