What You Will Be Doing
This growing and developing Catastrophe Modeling team has a vacancy for a Technical Specialist to support the team in the development of models and tools used to monitor catastrophe risk. Your key responsibilities will include:
• Advising and developing current models – including testing and sensitivity analysis
• Assisting in developing an automated process for roll up
• GIS mapping
• Developing aggregation methodologies to quantify risk
• Improving portfolio optimization tools
Who They Are Looking For
To be successful in this position you will have at least 2-3 years experience in Catastrophe Modelling as well as strong database management and mapping skills. You must be able to:
• Assess risk hazards and exposures to determine individual risk
• Monitor underwriting results
• Apply actuarial techniques in assessing risk
