Description:
Our client, a historic national insurer is seeking a Business Risk Manager for their asset management business unit. You will be supporting the successful implementation of the operational risk management framework and strategy which will include financial crime.You will need to:
- support the implementation and embedding of operational risk management in the asset management SBU, ensuring risks are appropriately identified, controlled, assessed, managed and monitored.
- contribute to the effective design and development of robust operational risk management and fraud prevention initiatives in the business area, to ensure a robust and effective control environment.
- implement (and test, where appropriate) risk management and fraud prevention initiatives, controls and processes which support business, customer and regulatory requirements and which fulfil the delivery of the operational risk strategy and framework.
- support the business in performing operational risk assessments from a high level top down approach linked to strategy and a bottom up approach from key processes.
- provide education, training and support to business heads to build awareness and accountabilities regarding operational risk management and fraud prevention requirements in the business area.
- provide analysis which monitors and reviews all supporting operational processes and exercises on an ongoing basis.
- assist the business area concerned in developing rigour standards around all areas of risk management, which will include training, continuous assessment, testing and performance reporting to the business executive and risk committee.
