Description:
An excellent financial services company in the north west is looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst to work in their Credit Risk Control UnitThe role involves:
· Provide MI solutions that fully meet the business expectations and requirements by:
· Translating requirements into detailed systems specifications
· Challenge and shape requirements by providing advice based on knowledge of bank and credit strategy business practices and relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
· Accurately implementing the specified MI solutions by following established change procedures and by designing and executing test plans and scripts.
· Maintaining effective and responsive relationship with CRCU teams.
· Maintain MI solutions to continually meet changing business needs by using knowledge of credit risk management techniques and regulatory requirements to proactively recommend improvements to current MI solutions and develop proposals for new solutions.
· Ensure adequate control of data marts and MI delivery systems by maintaining a procedural and design documentation library
· Provide Training and support to enable CRCU analysts to access adhoc information using SAS and promote efficient coding standards and working practices.
The successful candidate will have:
· Numerate / IT related degree or a significant amount of relevant analytical or business experience.
· Experience of Credit Risk or MIS.
· Experience of producing high quality management reports using Microsoft Office products and either Business Objects or Web based programming language, such as HTML/Java
· Experience of SAS programming.
· Experience in the full project lifecycle including translating user requirements into system specifications, creating effective system documentation and User Acceptance Testing, including preparation of test plans and scripts.
· Understanding of financial products, including knowledge of the differences between various types of lending
