Overall Job Purpose

If you don’t utilise corporate data you lose an opportunity to drive a business forward. As part of the Business Analytics and Strategy Team you will take raw data and transform it into insight and information, empowering decision makers and stakeholders in making the right call at the right time.
Delivering to the business analytical and strategic solutions to facilitate their making more informed business decisions around strategies, marketing programs, customer support and fraud-protection efforts.

You will be involved in the design, development and delivery of value added Business Analytics and Strategy solutions to clients across a wide range of EMEA financial institutions.

Key Accountabilities

Developing new services offerings, content creation, value propositions, revenue/expense projections and technology approaches.
Responsible for consulting with clients on business needs, translating business needs into analytics requirements, and interfacing with company and client to ensure successful delivery of client needs.

Clearly defined value propositions and creating defensible profitability models.
Involved in the design, development and delivery of innovative Business Analytics and Strategy solutions to clients across a wide range of EMEA financial institutions.
Prepare technical documentation to support business analytics implementations and engage with non technical clients, decision makers and stakeholders.
Perform in-depth quantitative analysis for financial portfolio management and strategy development.
Conduct research studies to identify new opportunities and focus areas.
Develop customer modelling, customer segmentation and business forecasting models.
Work with business units to develop product propensity models.

Person Specification

Essentials
Graduate in a numerate discipline e.g. Mathematics, Statistics or Operational Research.
Strong relational database, data mining and model building programming skills e.g. T-SQL, SSAS, DMX/MDX, PMML, SAS, R.
Strong Data Modelling skills in both Transactional and Multi-Dimensional Environments.
Proven track record of delivering business analytics and strategy solutions to end users to facilitate their making more informed business decisions.
Strong Applied Statistical, Probabilistic, Logic and Mathematical skills essential.
Strong Creative Problem Solving, Analytical and Strategic Skill set.



Preferred

Experience in any of the following fields;

 Time Series Analysis e.g. (ARIMA, ARTXP)

Experienced in using the SQL Server 2008 Software Suite including SQL 2008 Analysis Services (SSAS), OLAP Cubes, DMX coding and model building, SQL 2008 Reporting Services Reports (SSRS).

Programming Experience e.g. C/C++, VB, Java, .Net, SAS, SPSS.
Five years of equivalent professional experience.
Exposure to data structures (tables, views, stored procedures), Data Transformation (ETL, DTS & SSIS), efficiency and normalisation.
Understands telephony / financial services / call centre industry standard performance measurement and predictive methodologies and processes.
Exposure SAS / SAP / SPSS / Cognos.
Experience with successful project management from cradle to grave.
Exposure to any of the following work streams :- Portals, CRM, information management, performance management, fraud detection and money laundering, dashboards, insurance claims, quality assurance and financial reporting.
