Job Description : Risk Analyst 

Reporting to Head of Risk EMEA 

Location: Brookwood, Surrey 

Overview 

Retail Decisions is an international supplier of card issuing, fraud prevention and payment processing transaction services, whose customers include blue chip retailers, telecoms network suppliers and e-tailers. An opportunity has arisen to join the Risk Analysis Team. The Analysis Team is responsible for analyzing clients’ transaction data, ensuring that clients’ fraud levels remain low while protecting transactions from genuine customers. 

Specific Responsibilities 

Working as part of a specialist team requires the successful candidate to be self-motivated and resourceful as well as having a good attention to detail. Main responsibilities include:

• Conducting data analysis on external client data, to identify trends and patterns within the data sets
• To produce, collate and present recommendations based on own findings to enhance current risk models and create new risk management techniques
• To liaise directly with clients to gain an in depth understanding of their business and ensure their satisfaction with the Analysis service
• To ensure operational KPI’s met around delivering fraud services; including rule deployment, service review delivery, reporting and bespoke case/query management

Requirements

Commercial
• Experience of working in a client focused organization within a business-to-business environment
• Experience creating client presentations from primary data source through to finished presentation
• Prior analytical experience within a commercial environment required
• Knowledge of the payments industry a distinct advantage

Technical
• Understanding of concepts of relational database structures
• Ability to create queries and manipulate data within SQL essential
• Ability to comfortably use MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Experience of either Statistic, RStat, iBi, or i2 Software packages an advantage

Personal
• Graduate (numerate discipline preferable)
• Passion for analytics and drawing insight from data
