A graduate with a strong academic background is required by a leading financial services company to join their Credit Risk team. It is an exciting opportunity to grow a career in a highly influential team with a good progression opportunity for a major player in the Sub Prime Lending field. The role will involve providing analysis and insight into consumer behaviour, portfolio performance and profitability to shape strategies within the business. It will also give the successful candidate the chance to develop and use their skills in SAS and Excel in an advanced level to manipulate and interrogate complex data and apply their business acumen to interpret results and make recommendations. The candidate will be expected to identify and pursue opportunities that enhance the profitability and generate reports to support the business and ensure Risk objectives are met. The role involves liasing with different colleagues within the team and across relevant functions and explain and present their findings.
A suitable candidate must have the following skills and experiences:
- An undergraduate degree from a red-brick university with a minimum of a 2.1 in either a highly numerate discipline such as Physics, Statistics, Economics, Engineering or similar.
- Strong academic background with A's and B's at A-level or equivalent.
- Eligible to work in the UK permanently without sponsorship.
- A keen interest in finance specifically in the Credit Risk industry.
The successful candidate can expect a salary of up to £22k plus benefits
